Todd Varney

I started my career in 1993 after graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Miami with a major in Finance. After spending twenty years with another national healthcare development firm, I joined NexCore Group in 2013 to help grow the company’s national platform of development, ownership, and management of healthcare real estate.

Now, as Chief Development Officer, I oversee the implementation and overall success of each healthcare and life sciences project within our development pipeline. I also lead the NexCore team in coordinating all phases of the development process for these business units, including transaction structuring, strategy, design and construction, team selection, leasing, and sales/marketing.

Throughout my 30-year career, I have developed and managed over 130 medical office projects ranging in size from 25,000 to 350,000 SF and from $8 million to over $120 million. I truly enjoy the process of transforming land into physical structures that are used for healthcare and sciences. With an amazing support mechanism and so many talented team members, we continue to deliver such exciting projects.

When I am not spending time on healthcare real estate, I enjoy participating in Ironman triathlons and supporting my son as he pursues his passion for racing go-karts and open-wheel cars nationally.
