NexCore Group Announces Completion of NorthBay Healthcare Corporate Headquarters

NexCore Group and NorthBay Healthcare today announced the completion of the NorthBay Healthcare corporate headquarters building. Located at 4500 Business Center Drive in Green Valley Corporate Park, in Fairfield, with additional facilities in Vacaville, between San Francisco and Sacramento, NorthBay Healthcare provides services to both growing communities.

“Our new headquarters allows NorthBay to consolidate administrative functions from several facilities creating operational efficiencies for staff and establishes a strong presence in Solano County,” said Art DeNio, NorthBay’s CFO. “A well-designed and attractive facility, the NorthBay Headquarters conveys an important message of quality to the community.”

NexCore Group developed the 69,000 GSF corporate headquarters building for NorthBay Healthcare on a new satellite campus. The building includes an integrated conference center where NorthBay can hold all of its meetings on-campus and make the space available for public functions, creating another opportunity for the system to increase its visibility and connect with the surrounding community.  NexCore also managed the financing and will provide ongoing asset management and ownership for the new headquarters.

“NexCore’s effective delivery of services and competitiveness prompted NorthBay to select NexCore again to acquire three of its existing on-campus medical office buildings totaling more than 102,000 SF,” said Jarrod Daddis, senior managing director of NexCore Group. “The acquisition of the three buildings allowed for a healthy injection of capital into NorthBay’s balance sheet.” Since purchasing the buildings, NexCore has upgraded the assets, including exterior improvements and renovating common areas, bringing the buildings up to high medical-grade standards and making them more marketable and attractive to physicians.

According to NorthBay’s CFO DeNio, “This is value added to NorthBay and helps us in our recruitment strategies to bring more physicians to our campuses.”

An additional feature is a versatile 300-seat conference and training facility that will be the home of a $1 million nursing simulation laboratory, which features high-tech mannequins that respond to the “treatment” being given by nurses during training.

“These new simulation models are amazing,” observed Kathy Richerson, vice president and chief nursing officer, NorthBay Healthcare. “They can mimic critical conditions such as cardiac arrest, as well as childbirth.”
