Project Summary
NexCore was selected to lead CHI Health in the planning and implementation of its ambulatory network. The initial scope was to evaluate the network of clinics and optimize the distribution of the network, consider consolidation and relocation of existing clinics, and look to establish new clinics in growing neighborhoods. CHI Health is a dominant market leader in Omaha/Lincoln but has strong competition, and speed to market was imperative. After completing the ambulatory network plan, Council Bluffs was identified as the highest priority due to the need for additional space and competitive factors. Working closely with CHI National, NexCore designed the facility using a blend of CHI National prototypes, CHI Health’s clinical development background, and NexCore’s use of best practices based on its national experience.
The operational platform for the site was established to provide a differentiated patient experience, provider efficiency and productivity, and improved quality of care. The site will provide a single stop for testing, diagnostics, and treatment with minimal wait. The site will be supported with real-time, instantaneous access to individual patient data capable of delivering a seamless transfer of information across the entire continuum.
The CHI Health Valley View Clinic, conveniently located near the Mall of the Bluffs retail area, will provide a variety of healthcare services under one roof. The 38,700-square-foot facility will include primary care, behavioral health, women’s services, radiology, ultrasound, pharmacy, and physical therapy providers.
The facility broke ground in March 2018 and opened in May 2019.
