Project Summary

Northwest Healthcare and CHS selected NexCore to develop a new ambulatory surgery center to effectively relocate an existing facility to a market with greater demand for outpatient surgical services. Located on the Pima Medical Institute campus, adjacent to Tucson Medical Center, the one-story facility went through an extensive planning and modeling process to deliver key efficiencies to maintain the same number of revenue-producing operating rooms while anticipating a decrease in annual occupancy costs. 

The new Tucson Surgery Center broke ground in February 2020 and opened early 2021.
